If we are to preserve the past so we may learn from it and make better & informed decisions about the future, we must provide the next-generation workforce the tools to do so. Field school training is a key component for such training, allowing students to implement classroom learning and understand the challenges of field work.

In archaeology, the center of professional gravity is shifting from academia to Cultural Resource Management (CRM), both conducting field work and in government positions for compliance and oversight.
